The Supporting Organisations shown below are carefully selected and approved by the NESSIC Advisory Board. They are major international not-for-profit organisations that provide vital services and connections that most NESSIC participating schools engage with. We support each other in the exchange of information, services and trends. Supporting organisations are invited to our NESSIC Leadership Conference so appropriate school representatives can make personal contact with them. They may also make presentations or provide training at or after a conference upon mutual agreement. These relationships provide a valuable opportunity for NESSIC participating schools to receive latest information and updates first hand as desired.
Council of International Schools
The Council of International Schools (CIS) is a global membership organization dedicated to advancing high-quality international education and supporting schools and universities in achieving excellence. Through international accreditation, professional learning, research, and a wide range of resources and services, CIS helps educational institutions strengthen their practices and foster safe, inclusive, and globally minded learning communities. Its worldwide network connects schools, higher education institutions, and educators, encouraging collaboration and the exchange of knowledge and best practices. With a strong commitment to student well-being, intercultural understanding, and global citizenship, CIS supports its members in preparing students to thrive and contribute positively in an increasingly interconnected world.
University and Colleges Admissions Service
UCAS (Universities and Colleges Admissions Service) is an independent charity and the UK’s shared admissions service for undergraduate higher education, helping students explore their options and navigate the journey into universities and colleges. Through its centralised admissions service, UCAS connects students with higher education opportunities while also providing information, advice, and guidance to support informed decisions about their future. It also supports schools, advisers, parents, universities, and colleges with resources, training, data, and insights to help them guide students and understand trends in UK undergraduate higher education. With a focus on empowering people to make aspirational choices about education and learning, UCAS plays a key role in connecting students from the UK and around the world with opportunities across UK undergraduate higher education.
UCAS supports a global network of more than 7,000 Registered Centres worldwide. Outside the UK, China is the largest location for Registered Centres, with more than 600 schools and organisations helping students navigate the application process. One in five UCAS applicants are international students, and of those, one in five are from China. This makes China the largest international domicile for students applying to UK universities and colleges via UCAS.
Western Association for Schools and Colleges
The Accrediting Commission for Schools, Western Association of Schools and Colleges (ACS WASC) is a world-renowned accrediting association dedicated to fostering excellence in elementary, secondary, adult, and postsecondary education. Through a rigorous, research-based accreditation process, ACS WASC supports schools in evaluating the quality and effectiveness of their educational programs and developing plans for continuous improvement. Working collaboratively with schools, educators, and educational communities, the organization helps institutions strengthen student learning, well-being, and achievement. With a commitment to ongoing school improvement and high-quality learning, ACS WASC serves educational institutions across the United States and internationally.
