Vision:  Interconnected schools that enrich students and staff.

 

Mission: NESSIC connects schools, enriches student experience, and develops educators.

 

Values: These values apply to each student, staff member, school, and NESSIC itself.

II:  Objectives of NESSIC​

Connection: Bring internationally-oriented schools into a meaningful community.

Share information and experience through conferences, events, and social activities.

 

Enrichment: Provide opportunities for students to engage in friendly post-season competitions among schools. Encourage students to share creative work to a broader audience.

 

Development: Professional development opportunities for leaders, teachers, and other staff.

  2. Platform for Information Exchange:  NESSIC serves as a platform for information exchange, allowing schools to share ideas, resources, and experiences, which can inspire innovation and improve educational outcomes. Key to this benefit is the Annual Leadership Conference. ​

  3. Professional Development Resources:  Access workshops, seminars, or training sessions which are provided or facilitated by NESSIC to enhance professional skills, foster innovation, and support career advancement for educators and administrators. ​

  6. Access to Athletic and Sporting Events:  Schools receive enhanced visibility through participation in NESSIC-sponsored sporting events and leagues. Participation or hosting enhances the school's reputation and fosters pursuit of excellence and school spirit. ​

  7. Cultural, Student Leadership and Artistic Exchange Opportunities:  Access student leadership, cultural and artistic exchange programmes organised by NESSIC to promote cultural understanding, creativity, collaboration and pursuit of excellence. ​

  8. Access to Research and Resources:  Access collective research findings, educational resources, and industry insights generated by NESSIC and by participating schools, enabling schools to stay informed about the latest trends, innovations, and best practices in education. ​

  9. Access to Facilities and Resources:  Access shared facilities, equipment, and resources provided by NESSIC schools, optimising resource utilisation and enhancing educational opportunities for students. 

IV: Services Provided by NESSIC to Participating Schools

Connection

  • Free access to information sharing among school leaders

  • Participation in Annual General Meeting

  • Ratification of Constitution and Guiding Principles

  • Approval of Advisory Board Members according to guidelines in the Constitution

Enrichment

  • Ongoing invitations to host and attend student sporting events

  • Invitations to activities that provide extension and encourage creativity, growth and excellence.

  • Annual research report on schools and the sector

V: Responsibilities of NESSIC Schools

  1. Adherence to Standards: Schools must comply with the NESSIC Guiding Statements and Commitments, ensuring consistency and quality across educational and operational practices to maintain the reputational integrity of NESSIC. 

  2. Compliance with Government Regulations: Schools are obligated to adhere to all government regulations and policies relevant to business operation and licensing, including those specific to educational institutions in mainland China, maintaining legal and regulatory compliance at all times. 

  3. Promotion of Ethical Practices: Schools are responsible for promoting integrity, honesty, and ethical conduct among staff, students, and stakeholders, fostering a positive educational environment for the betterment of society and the reputation of the education sector. 

  4. Financial Responsibilities: Schools must fulfil financial commitments to NESSIC, including payment of fees and contributions to projects in a timely manner, ensuring sustainability and effective operation of the organisation. 

  5. Commitment to Continuous Improvement: Schools should demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement by seeking and acting on feedback, implementing best practices, and striving for excellence in education delivery and operations. 

  6. Active Participation in Activities: Schools should actively engage in events, meetings, and initiatives wherever it is feasible and in the interests of NESSIC, fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing among schools. 

  7. Support for Sports: Schools should actively support and participate in sponsored athletic and sporting events wherever it is feasible, modelling and promoting physical fitness, teamwork, and healthy competition among students and the communities served by the schools. 

  8. Facilitation of Artistic and Cultural Exchanges: Schools should facilitate and encourage participation in artistic and cultural exchanges organised by NESSIC wherever it is feasible, promoting cultural understanding, creativity, and diversity among students and school communities. 

  9. Collaboration on Research and Development: Schools will collaborate on research and development projects initiated by and within NESSIC, fostering innovation and advancing educational practices to the benefit of NESSIC and the educational sector. 

  10. ​Community Engagement and Outreach: Schools are encouraged to engage in community outreach programmes and initiatives, fostering positive relationships with local communities and contributing to societal development, and for the promotion of community understanding of objectives of NESSIC.
