Avenues Shenzhen was founded in 2019 and is a future-focused bilingual school offering a transformative toddler—grade 12 international education. Avenues’ proprietary AWE curriculum, developed over seven years by the Avenues research team, seamlessly integrates Avenues' global framework with China’s nine-year compulsory education system. It emphasizes discovery, innovation, and foresight, preparing students to excel in an ever-evolving world. The curriculum has been accredited by two globally recognized accrediting bodies, New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) and Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). To date, three graduating cohorts have been admitted to renowned universities around the world.

Avenues Shenzhen
Before serving on the founding team of the Shenzhen campus, Angela amassed more than a decade of experience working across different education systems in the United States, including at public, private and special schools.
She first joined Avenues in 2012 as a member of the founding faculty of the New York campus. Until 2018, she served as the director of the Chinese immersion program, responsible for curriculum design, teacher recruitment and training, and student assessment.
In 2018, Angela moved with her family to China to help establish Avenues Shenzhen, serving first as the founding director of the kindergarten program and then as head of the primary division. Working together with the Avenues R&D department, she led a faculty team to design a curriculum for Avenues Shenzhen that is at once locally rooted and globally connected.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
As is customary with events that require detailed advance planning based on attendance, cancellations are discouraged. However, recognising that some circumstances are unavoidable, NESSIC has a cancellation policy similar to other organisations that require significant advanced planning and allow registration transfers within a school/organisation.
Please note requirements:

Cancellations and changes must be submitted in writing by email: Attendee email conference.registration@NESSIC.org; Sponsor email sponsorships@NESSIC.org. No cancellations via phone, instant message, or social media will be accepted.

Registration transfers. Registration or event ticket may be transferred free of charge to another person in your organisation by written request to NESSIC 4 weeks prior to the first day of the event. After this date cancellations are subject to the following schedule.

Refund. If notice of cancellation re the registered participant is received:

30+ days before the first day of the event: 80% refund

15-29 days before the first day of the event: 40% refund
-
Less than 15 days before the first day of the event: no refund

Refund processing time: 14 working day after the event has ended.

Attendance changes. Kindly notify us of any cancellations or changes, even during no-refund period. This helps us update the attendance roster, prepare name tags and ensure the best possible experience for all participants.

Full conference registration fee includes access to all sessions, workshops, receptions, tea breaks, lunches and social function.

Only NESSIC Participating Schools/Affiliated Partners or individuals from NESSIC Participating Schools/Affiliated Partners can take advantage of the discounted membership registration rate. All NESSIC membership benefits for event registration rates are non-transferable to others outside of the member organisation.

The discounted rate must be selected at the time of the initial registration. Due to regulations, refunds cannot be given for incorrect registration submissions.
Photo, Image, and Recording Disclaimer
Registration and attendance at NESSIC events constitutes an agreement by the registrant to NESSIC's use and distribution (both now and in the future) of the registrant or attendee's image or voice in photos, images, video, and/or audio recordings of such events without compensation or approval rights. All professionally taken photos, images videos, and recordings are the property of NESSIC.
