Special Strand for Sports Leaders!
As NESSIC expands sports opportunities to enrich students and schools, the design of sports events changes with the dynamic of growth. As we go through this transformation it is our desire to give everyone a voice in the design of the NESSIC sports programme for the next school year, including which sports are offered, venues and dates. Sports Leaders who attend the NESSIC Bilingual Schools Conference will have that opportunity.
NESSIC has grown from 14 to 30 participating schools in one year. Two key needs of sports leaders/coaches were identified. This strand will address those needs:

Collective determination of sports construct, venues and dates

Professional Development through training opportunities
Sports Leaders Strand
Your NESSIC Regional Sports Leaders are designing a two-pronged strand to meet these needs. Saturday will be devoted primarily to a meeting to determine the restructure, sports, venues and dates. Sunday will contain a range of professional development options for Sports Leaders/Coaches to attend.
Who Can Attend:

NESSIC Schools: Sports and/or Activities Leaders, or the designated person responsible for school sports.

Day 1: Attend the Summit’s Annual Planning (no Bilingual Conference sessions on Day 1; optional participation in the Conference social function).

Day 2: Choose between dedicated Summit workshops or other sessions within the Bilingual Schools Conference.

Non‑NESSIC Schools: Sports Leaders may join the full NESSIC Bilingual Schools Conference (including Day 2 Summit workshops and all Day 2 conference activities).

Excludes NESSIC Sports Leaders Summit Day 1 Annual Planning.
